Who We Are

Welcome to Cavalier Robotics, FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team 619. We are the FRC team of Charlottesville/Albermarle Robotics (CARobotics), a 501(c)(3) organization located in Charlottesville, VA. A team of high school students and adult mentors celebrating science and technology in Central Virginia, we strive to promote the values of FIRST and stimulate interest in engineering among students throughout the region.

If you are new to FIRST and the team, thanks for visiting! Feel free to browse our site and see what we’re up to, what FIRST is all about, and how you can get involved. High school students, college students, parents, and professional engineers alike can all become part of the team.

If you are already involved with FIRST, feel free to look around as well. One of our key goals is to promote the amazing sense of community FIRST provides. To that end, we hope both rookie and veteran teams will find our website to be an excellent resource. Check out the team section of the site to see how we run things, read our blog, or enjoy browsing our media gallery.

Finally, we cannot do this alone! We thank the University of Virginia School of Engineering along with our many private sponsors for making this team possible. If you are a local business looking to promote science and engineering within your community, we welcome any assistance – monetary or otherwise – you may provide. If you are interested in sponsoring the team, please contact us for more information on how you can help.

Enjoy our site, and thanks again for visiting Cavalier Robotics.
